Upon learning of the deadly crash at the annual OSU Homecoming parade that left four people dead and scores injured, Dr. Dirk Thomas was inspired to invent a mobile vehicle barrier that could be deployed quickly to fortify public events against weaponized vehicle attack and accidents.

A weaponized vehicle attack kills six people and injures sixty-two others at the annual holiday parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Having grown-up minutes away from the attack site, Managing Partner Tom McDowell joined the Company to help ensure these senseless acts are prevented.
The Company leverages the know-how and ingenuity of Oklahoma’s Oil & Gas engineering and manufacturing base to produce a mobile vehicle barrier designed to arrest vehicles traveling at high rates of speed.

Extensive testing has been completed to verify the Munio Technologies Mobile Vehicle Barrier with its patented vehicle capture technology stops small compact vehicles, large SUVs, and half-ton pick-up trucks traveling at a range of speeds over a variety of road surfaces.
Testing administered by an independent third-party laboratory shows Munio Technologies Mobile Vehicle Barrier meets rating criteria established by ASTM-F2656-20.
